Delta, in conjunction with Universal Avionics Systems Corporation and Chicago Jet Group, are pleased to announce the issuance of a Part 25, FAA STC for the installation of the Universal MFD-640 Multi-Function Display on a Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft. The Universal MFD-640 is intended to replace the Primus 400 weather radar indicator, while providing a large format display of the existing Flight Management System (FMS) and Terrain-Awareness and Warning System (TAWS).
The following, an excerpt from the Chicago Jet Group announcement, gives further information regarding this FAA STC.
“Delta Engineering and Chicago Jet Group worked together to complete this STC in less than five weeks, from original concept to completion. The Falcon 50 is now a safer aircraft because weather radar and Class A TAWS are clearly presented on the Universal MFD-640.” – Mike Mitera, Chicago Jet Group President
